This year promises to bring us a myriad of new experiences.  The question everyone asks is “What kind?” As complex as this question may seem, it is very easy to answer.  If you are willing to change and grow, your new experiences, challenges and wonders will be exhilarating.  If you are attached to your beliefs, have rules for yourself and others and insist only you are right, your new experiences will be challenging and bring you unhappiness.  This is a good time to look at what stands between you and your happiness.

It is all in your mind.  Your thoughts create your world, every last iota.  How does this work?  With intent, thought, desire, perseverance and willingness, you have made your world wholly in the mind.  Paradoxically it is absolutely real.  Therefore, keep your thoughts trained on the world you wish to create and not the one you are afraid might happen.  Then watch as your inner joy and happiness grow.

As this year of complex astrological patterns begins, it is imperative that we set our intent on the highest good, for ourselves and for everyone.  Now is the time to monitor your thoughts.  Are they dwelling on where you want to go?  If so, keep working to make them grow.  If not, quickly switch to better and higher thoughts.  Dwelling in or on places you do not want to be will call that energy into your field.  Let it go.  Now is the perfect time to reach a higher potential within you.

We start this year with both Mercury and Mars retrograde, a clear signal to slow down and review, reorganize and see what gives you energy.  This is a good time to consider the tyranny of the urgent.  How many things do we jump to because of the hype.  Anything ‘on sale today only’ you probably don't need at all.

Mars wants us to look at ourselves and find that inner core of pride, not the false or pompous kind, but the kind we feel in a job well done.  Look for the joy found in child like play.  It is a clue to your inner happiness and what feeds it.  Just remember this is the time to go slow, test the water and don't be afraid to back out if you don't find it pleasant.

January 13^th Saturn will enter apparent retrograde.  Take a look at your foundations especially in regard to relationships this month as Saturn will sit at 4° Libra all month reminding us to take the long view (and during his retrograde it may seem even longer) at structure and restructure.  This can be excellent to time to start or restart a relationship.  The back and forth retrograde energy helps us to learn giving and receiving.

January 15^th at 1:11 AM CST is the Capricorn Solar Eclipse with Venus joining the Sun and Moon for this event and hanging with the Sun throughout the next week.  What do you really value?  Be sure thoughts and desires actually align with long term goals.

As the inner saboteur is afoot, watch your motivators now.  This is the day Mercury will appear to station direct and resume forward motion.  Avoid signing contracts until after the Chinese New Year will prove beneficial.  Otherwise, look forward to being flexible in the contract or use a temporary agreement.

 On the 17^th, Jupiter will move into Pisces to begin his record breaking run to meet up with Uranus at 0° Aries in June.  This is when the fun will begin.  What fun you ask?  The fun you have been setting up with constructs created in the ethers by your thought processes.  If enough of us make positive use of the higher energies coming from the Galactic Core, we can create the world of our dreams.  What do you dream? Jupiter in Pisces can create the most beautiful dreams.  Catch on fast and keep thoughts directed toward the dream.  Most distractions are just drama anyway.  Let them fall to the background for they are energy drains.  Be ready for the Summer Season as Jupiter spends it in fiery Aries with inventive Uranus.

 January 19^th 10:30 CST as the Sun moves into Aquarius, it’s time to shift our energy to the big picture, the community and our involvement in the world around us.  The Moon in Pisces is conjunct Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, in Pisces. 

 Try this energy exercise: Open yourself, only briefly, and feel the pulse of our world as you make an inner connection.  Ground yourself into the earth’s center and realign your chakras.  Next bring in a burst of Light into the heart and move it up through the crown chakra out the top of your head like a fountain.  Allow the fountain to flow and cleanse your aura and revitalize your energy.  Do this exercise as often as you need.

Analyze your current situation and be willing to change your strategies or even your goals in accordance with the ground realities.  Be like the bamboo that bends with the flow of water only to regain its position back once the pressure is taken off.  Try to resolve conflicts by consultation rather than by confrontation.  Be willing to walk the middle-ground and avoid taking extreme views on any matter.  Give and take is the best policy for peaceful co-existence – more so, under this alignment.
