The Summer Solstice is when the Sun reaches its zenith in the
Northern Hemisphere. Take advantage of this extra light to shine
it everywhere and look for the secrets you need to take out and
repair. The prevailing energies at this time allow us to loosen
the grip that long-standing life situations may have on us.
Mars in Leo
(pride expressed as respect or
disrespect) has passed over the
South Node of the Moon
(comfortable habit patterns from
childhood and past lives that get in the way of the
relationships you want), which is currently residing at the
focal point of an inspirational
Yod
(extreme focus of energy for change/healing) Don’t allow pride
or a judgmental attitudes get in the way of what needs to be
done.
Jupiter and Uranus are pushing for
adjustment while the North Node (future, life’s purpose) keeps
company with Neptune and Chiron and every planet at this time
being involved with some kind of changing energy gives
additional boost to this opportunity to
“Let Go and Grow.”
Leo, a fixed sign, can help to burn off the dross as it is
released. Do draw on Leo’s pride to
“stand
up and become all you can be.”
Neptune is in Aquarius in the air energy
of this fixed sign and has held the web of life still long
enough for us to
have a good look at the illusion surrounding us.

At 4:17 pm on the 20th
of May 2008 The United Astrological Conference meeting, in
Denver took a vote, in a near unanimous show of hands it was
agreed, we believe Pluto is a planet.
I believe Pluto
and his life long traveling companion Charon are a binary planet
system complete with moons, Nix and Hydra. I believe these two
to be the Dynamic Duo. Pluto brings transformation. Recently he
has pulled off one of the biggest transformations of our times
revealing the duality at the edge of our thoughts. As we become
comfortable with the idea of his shape shifting nature, the
doorway to a greater world beyond will open to us.
This month, as the Dynamic Duo roam back
toward the Galactic Core, is open to the pull for change and new
awareness of the options available that this Gigantic Energy
makes possible. Pluto has an intense influence now to
release the burdens of the
past
and let the river carry them away. So,
lighten up as you step into the Ferryman’s boat because, when
you reach the far shore, you become free to enjoy life.

This month blesses us with two
Meteor showers, neither promises great viewing, but the
possibility is available. Mid June look east by
northeast in the evening twilight. Locate Lyra,
the instrument used by Orpheus to charm his way through
the underworld. By early morning Lyra will be over
head. Five days either side of the 15th
you have a chance to catch a fallen star, moonlight
allowing.
At the end of the month we may be able to check out the
Bootes shower if our paths cross. Bootes is as
high over head as the sunsets. If we make the
rendezvous this year, these slow moving shooting stars
will carry us from the end of the Lyrids shower through
the 4th of July.

Although Venus will be visiting
the Pleiades (The Seven Sisters) mid-month, we will
not be able to view this event as it is taking place
within the light of the Sun.

On the 7th we can
look to see Diana our moon traveling with Mars, at
8:38 PM CDT she will move in front of Mars.
This is an occultation as they are in complete
alignment.

On the 9th Saturn and Diana will be
stepping out in the Night sky for a brief soiree.
Here in the presence of the King Star Regulus.

Jupiter appears late in the night sky. Look
for him on the 19th as he and Diana look
down and bless us on this Solstice Eve.

Towards the end of the month in
the predawn hours you may be able to catch a glimpse
of Neptune and Uranus in the morning sky. Look
to the southern horizon.

On the last days of the month it may be possible to
see Mercury rising just before Ol’Sol.

The Dynamic Duo (Pluto/Charon)
re-enter Sagittarius
on the 14th just after Mid-night. As the South Node experiences
a transit from Mars in Leo
this may not be the most comfortable of times but it will have
the effect of transparency.
If you are looking for your hidden motivations this Fathers Day
weekend may provide you with more than a trip down memory lane.
Even if the Scorpio Moon drags you into the heart of darkness,
do not despair there is so much Gemini energy floating around it
will be near impossible to stay there.
Venus enters Cancer
on the 18th highlighting all the values of Cancer, security,
home, family. With the bustle of activity around this one has to
ponder the amount of work it may take to keep this lovely lady
happy as she reviews the home front. Take notice she has her
task master shoes on, a sure sign it is
time to dig in and get the work
done.
Sun enters
Cancer
on the 21st. Ingress into Cancer marks the Summer Solstice. The
aspects provided at this time will have effect until the Autumn
Equinox. These all appear to be very beneficial to progressing
with our present schedule and
bringing some projects to a completion.
Midsummer’s
Eve
is three days (24th) after the Solstice. Legends say it is the
one night you increase your odds of catching a
glimpse into the Fairy Realms.
If you have an Ash tree to sit under this will further
facilitate your chances of seeing past the veil, many swear a
food offering provides an acceptable bribe.
(The Center has a huge Arizona Ash
tree. Join us on this Tuesday, June 24th, just after dark to
look for the Fairies. Such a large tree should have quite a few.
We have some wine to share, which should help with the viewing.)

PLANETARY Motion |

|
Mercury
resumes apparent direct motion on the 19th
at 13° Gemini.
Things will begin to stabilize as the winged
messenger proceeds through his home territory
throughout June and well into July. As
Mercury reorients himself he turns in time to
see Ol’ Sol watching the Dynamic Duo gazing into
the center of our Galaxy and survey the
Mysteries hidden there. Sol will make his
arrival at the Galactic Center for Christmas on 2012.
Although he has made this trip many times before
it is always a different experience. Meditate with this alignment
perhaps this energy will open new vista to you.
Uranus
begins apparent retrograde motion on the 27th
at 22° Pisces according to Marc Edmund Jones and the work he
did with Elsie Wheeler this is a degree of
Sensitivity. When put to positive use this
degree offers exceptional ability in shaping
every immediate aspect of life to a personal
convenience. Handy? But should
this energy have a negative spin, instability
and a confused perspective are potential
pitfalls. Between now and the end of November we
have the option to make those micro adjustments
that will help to harness our inner mastery.
Let this energy guide you to find those places
that need tweaking and those that are perfect
just as they are.

This may be a Super Moon when Diana is so close you can reach
out and touch her, but
she has chosen to arrive in her Ninja suit so you may have to
hunt around to find her.
Meanwhile under the dark of the Moon, Venus, who is visiting
with Diana at this time, is planning to hook up with the
retrograding trickster Mercury, Friday and Saturday. Who
knows what they are preparing by the dark of the moon?
Chances are some changes are in the making. If this is
your experience roll with it. Now is the perfect time to
try something new. The energy is light enough to carry you
through. If you spread your wings it may even feel like
flying.
