It’s beginning to feel like a Course in Miracles in real time; perhaps we are learning the rules so we know how to break them.  What is relevant at this time in our evolution is the energies have opened us up in such a way that we are able now, more than ever, to pierce the veil of illusion and gain a glimpse of the other side.  More and more people are reporting psychic events interweaving with the energies of their everyday life.  I have heard that only a fool is ever certain, a wise person will keep an open mind.  This is one of the old adages many people have followed to enlightenment.  The energies presented to us this month offer us the perfect opportunity to grow into the great unknown.

• Uranus will again be available for viewing this month. The moonlight might dim him but it will definitely show you where to look on the 12^th of May.

• Mercury will be near the moon on the 17^th after that keep an eye on the western horizon in evening twilight to see the winged messenger.

• Venus rises higher and shows herself more clearly as the month goes on. Watch her beauty shine. She will have a visit with the moon on the 19^th.

• As the Sun sets, we can see Saturn shine brightly in the evening twilight. Just look a little to the south or west.

• Jupiter will be on the rise in the east before midnight of midmonth.  Catch a glimpse of this Giant- he’s a great star to make a wish upon.

• The May brings us a Blue Moon. The full moon on the 31^st will be the second one this month making it Blue. Enjoy! Look for her after midnight below Jupiter. This is a very lucky moon. Be sure to take your purse out and ask the Moon for a fill it up! This extra lucky full moon belongs to opportunity.

Venus makes herself at home in Cancer beginning on the 9^th the need for security can take precedence over your true desires.  Watch the way you project your love, or the way love is sent to you, is it smothering, enabling, or overprotective?

Watch and see if you or those you love are crossing these boundaries. Empowering is the feeling of healthy love, with no strings or restrictions attached.  Venus in Cancer’s true desire is to keep all that it loves safe, this can be done without stifling those that we love.  This is an excellent time to become aware of the balance.

Mercury races home the 12^th for a quick chat with the Gemini twins- and it will be a lively conversation! The practice of looking at all things from all sides can be infinitely fascinating. While the non-stop chatter can become overwhelming, now is definitely the time to practice those breathing exercises and focus. Steadying and quieting the mind can deepen the effects of Mercury and Gemini together, allowing ourselves to integrate some of these newfound insights.

Mars crosses the Aries Point on the 15^th of May this year; at this time everyone on the planet will have the opportunity to align with the new cycle of energy.  This cycle will end in a little less than two years; step into this natural cycle of energy and see how far you can go.

Sun enters Gemini on the 21^st we get a little busier, out and about, communicating with more people; the kids begin coming home from school even if you don’t have one the roads become more congested.  Short trips are more appealing; this is a great time for networking.  The first week the Sun is in Gemini, Mercury gets very busy, careful the words that slip out of your mouth.

Mercury finds some rest on the 30^th as he moves into Cancer.  The trick is not to get caught in the emotions of nostalgia that are floating around at this time. You can use the feeling of security to visualize a better future.  Then you want to make it real; this is also an excellent time to track the historical trends of your ideals, both internal and external.
    

This is the Beltane moon, the original May Day celebration! Do something to light the fires of fertility.  Light a candle; say a prayer; build a bonfire and have a nightlong celebration.  This is a time to honor our Mother Earth and the creativity inherent in all life.

The Sun is conjunct Mercury and part of a complex yod that will be stirring up all kinds of energy.  This set up will help us face and make the adjustments necessary to find our true path.  In this chart there are two mystic rectangles that are doorways to higher opportunities; use them.
 

New Moon – May 16^th, 1:29 PM CST 25° 38" of Taurus

The energies of this moon are strong and aggressive while poised on a point known to cause people to lose their heads.  This is a time to concentrate on the good of the Earth around us and look for ways to begin a new cycle of creativity in our lives.  One excellent use of this energy is to literally work the earth.  If gardening is not your thing perhaps you could walk and send prayer energies into the earth as you go.  Visiting public gardens and inhaling their beauty uses this energy and creates new peace in our lives as it ground us into a better present.
   

Blue Moon –  May 31^st, 2007, 7:04 PM CST 10° 11" of Sagittarius

The effects of the Sun and Moon square Uranus can be a bit of a shake up.  When it is in mutable signs and you add strong fire energy – Moon, Jupiter trine Saturn, trine Mars – I’d say anything goes!  While this Blue moon is lucky, the energies around it can be intense.  Be extra careful to care for your adrenals during the weeks surrounding this moon.  Investigate the places in your life where you feel undo stressors are active and see if you can make any changes.  Now is a good time to weigh the payoff against the prices.  Find where true value is gained then reassess the rest.
